I survived the iron man Iron Man! Now I only have to be at work in three hours, ack!

Bottom line? GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

If you have any doubt what so ever if this movie will live up to the Marvel line of movies, throw those doubts out the window… and then go outside and pick them back up because you might need em for later. I watched both Iron Man movies, back to back, and I have to say the second isn’t as good as the first – Shocking, I know! The movie drags on in places it really doesn’t need to and seems to have a lot of filler without getting right into the story. It does not disappoint when it comes to the complex action scenes or mind-numbing CGI – Yeah, this movie has a little bit of CGI, but I don’t think you can tell though.

I felt the movie left SO much un-answered and really didn’t accomplish much in Iron Man 2, but what do I know I’m a music guy. As far as I know, that’s what sequels are supposed to do…

And yes, in case you were wondering, Scarlett Johansson (instead of Emily Blunt) as the Black Widow? Smoking hot! Oh, and the new Rhodey played by Don Cheadle is kinda really super awkward after being used to Terrence Howard from Iron Man (the first one). Why wasn’t Terrence in it? Word on the street is mun-muns and pay cuts… Heck, I’d pay to be in Iron Man 2 (& 3), bad move imo.

I give this a 3/5 or 7/10 or two odd shaped thumbs up. Worth seeing, but not a must by any means.

So, I realized a few minutes ago that I am competing in an Iron Man event by agreeing to see Iron Man (the first one) at 9PM and Iron Man 2 at 12:01AM tonight. Worth it? Probably. Awesome? Totally! Smart? No.

If I’m not dead tomorrow I’ll let ya know how it all went down!

I sure hope that I wake up on time for work at 7AM! An all-nighter may be in order….

Normally GregR does his little FAIL Friday bit and posts it to his blog, but today he FAILED and became the first fail on my Fail Friday post. (yes, I’m stealing your FAIL Friday blog, GregR!)

Bad GregR.

If you didn’t know by now I’m a photographer on the side,  so if you were a GregR you could just imagine me as that short little photographer :[

Here’s a poke at Seattle drivers and a poke at myself for everytime GregR pokes fun of my parking skillz… 13 minutes compressed into one:

Hopefully none of you guys know anyone that can top this epic parking fail… right? RIGHT??

This week’s epic win comes in the form of a homemade bacon alarm clock!! Epic Win, srsly! I read up on this a little bit and it looks like it was a DIY setup. I just need to find an old EZ bake oven wire it up to an old alarm clock and hope I don’t start a fire!!!

I would love to wake up to a bacon alarm clock!

I’m thinking since I has a camera and I has this blog I could start doing a weekly Seattle related FAIL blog… yay? nay?

On Friday, a lucky End listener got to ride segways with the Silversun Pickups by the Seattle waterfront. Check out the videos below to see a recap along with two exclusive live in-studio performances!

Staying out in the rain on a pedicab probably didn’t help my cold I have… :[

The awesome guys from The Lonely Forest are on tour right now with We Were Promised Jetpacks… But, as I mentioned earlier and somewhat hinted at, they will be back soon!

The guys in TLF have huge hearts and will be playing a benefit concert with other Anacortes-based musicians and bands on March 26th to help raise funds (an estimated $400,000) for the repair of the Tommy Thompson Trestle in Anacortes. This walking bridge was set ablaze on October 15th of last year as a result of arson. For a full story on this, check out Anacortes Now.

I’ve been to a benefit show put on by these guys in the past and they don’t hold back. If you can make it, I recommend going! This is going to be an all ages show for a great cause.

Friday, March 26th – 8:00PM – $15 at the door
Brodniak Hall located in the Anacortes High School
