I’m part of a Sounders FC support group called Gorilla FC. It’s a sweet combination of drinking before soccer matches and doing nice stuff for the community. We raised more than $15,000 for Haiti, dammit! The Gorilla and I (he’s the harrier one):
I was just sent a link with the latest preseason gorilla spotting found in The Stranger’s photo of the week with the quote, “Is it just me, or is a man wearing a gorilla mask in public 150 times more terrifying than a clown? St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Downtown Seattle, 3/13/10″. Nice work Kelly O.

So they aren’t playing a show – they’re not even in Seattle, but the White Stripes documentary Under Great White Northern Lights screens tonight FOR FREE @ the Crocodile Cafe.
The Croc have chairs set up – no standing tonight – plus some sweet new sound gear improvements to make the spectacle even better.

IT’S FREE!
Thanks for the heads up @earcandyblog

Well, it seemed like everything was going great in MUSE, but the band have just posted a pic of their new lineup. Seems strange that Matt Bellamy got the boot:
Also, didn’t see Dom becoming the new guitar player…
Remember this video of MUSE making fun of Italian TV for making them lip synch?
Love it!

Solid performance, though their part in that terrible twilight zone remake kinda stole the show for me:

Sad day for the family of He Pingping, the world’s shortest man. He was only 2.5′ tall and passed away at the age of 21. There are tons of cool photos of He Pingping demonstrating just how short that is, but this one seems to get the point across:
Wow, kind of a pervert
Well at least now he can take the title of world’s smallest coffin…
In all seriousness, it sucks when landmark’s like He Pingpings come to an end. What a cool story to be part of for the world’s smallest man.

As usual, the amazing world of FAILs and WINs from Seattle company Cheezburger Network:
Tough economy has got everyone down.
What’s this banana up to?
So the Tonight Show is back with Jay Leno.
Good way to dupe your accountant into thinking you’re on top of those problems…

Have a freakin sweet weekend jerkface!

This weekend (Fri/Sat) is the Ride Shakedown event at the Summit at Snoqualmie. It’s a tone of snowboarders competing for a sweet payday. Head up to the summit for truckloads of big air… or just a nice rail slide! I spoke with Bendan, the dude putting it all together:
Tons of snow may require chains/snow tires FYI.
Have Fun
