Putting on Die Antwoord at a party full of your friends that like Incubus is not the way to win favor as music overlord. Idiots. I don’t claim to have the knowledge or fondness of this band nearly to the level of Bryce. He went to their in-store last time they came to town (below). The one thing I’ve figured out: these South African art students are CRAZY WEIRD! That includes this super spooky new video for “I Fink You Freeky”.

“Enter the Ninja” – from their Easy Street Records:

I always think that no one shares my love of dinosaurs until stuff like this makes it to the internet.

Remember the time the country had like no money… Oh yeah, that’s now. Luckily we have AWESOME JETS!!!!

Don’t worry, while our economy is dominated by criminals running giant companies at least the government has a couple dozen planes that cost a TRILLION dollars! That’s a trillion with… well, lot’s of zeroes. Oh, what’s that? Someone installed the ejection seat parachutes upside down and now the whole program is on hold? Sweet. But still, we have AWESOME JETS!!!

WOW. Is it weird that you’re allowed to watch porn in the library?

Recently a woman at the Lake City Library complained when she encountered a man watching hard-core porn on a screen in full view of library patrons

When she asked the librarian to do something…the librarian refused:

From Komo News:

“She could see the screen from the information desk where we were standing and was sympathetic, but said that the library doesn’t censor content,”

“And they can’t be in the business of monitoring what their patrons are doing at any given computer.”

The woman then asked the man to move. He refused.

Andra Addison, a spokesperson for Seattle libraries told Komo News:

“We don’t tell people what they can view and check out … Filters compromise freedom of speech protected by the First Amendment. We’re not in the business of censoring information.”

Even though, according to The Supreme Court libraries ARE allowed to filter info saying:

“A public library has never been required to include all constitutionally protected speech in its collection and has traditionally had the authority, for example, to legitimately decline to include adult-oriented material such as pornography in its collection. This same discretion continues to exist with respect to Internet materials.

Despite this, Seattle Public Libraries stand by keeping the info non-filtered and frankly…that’s awesome. Way to stick to your guns in the face of an awkward situation
