Being 6′5″ and Hungarian I have very little ability to do stuff requiring balance. It would seem that having a bulky, low center of gravity is the key to killing it while skin boarding/snow surfing.

The Screaming Trees have plans to release their long lost record on August 2nd.

Last Words: The Final Recordings was recorded in Stone Gossard’s (Pearl Jam) studio in the late
’90’s, produced by Trees drummer Barrett Martin and mixed by NW legend Jack Endino. It was set to be released in 2000 but complications from the bands break-up ended up getting in the way.

Josh Homme (from Queens of The Stone Age) was the bands touring guitarist at the time and is also on the record, along with Peter Buck from R.E.M.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t appear to be a Soundgarden/Alice in Chains type reunion as the band has been very clear that “hey will not be getting back together and have made Screaming Trees a concrete part of their past.”

A compilation record with new songs from eddie Vedder, Josh Homme, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Modest Mouse, The Strokes, The Shins’ James Mercer, Bright Eyes, The Decemberists’ Chris Funk and John Moen, and Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker and more sounds pretty good right?

July 19th “Live From Nowhere Near You vol. 2″ will be released.

Put together by Kevin Moyer, it’s goal is to raise money/awareness for Outside In, a non-profit in Portland that’s “focused on providing aid and counseling to homeless youth.”

Billy Corgan and the faux Smashing Pumpkins have just released the video for their song “Owata” (the mp3 was released awhile back).

However, it’s less a music video and more a short film (directed by Robby Starbuck) about the world of underground female wrestling (because of course it is)

The song is part of the massive 44 song Teargarden By Kaleidyscope that is on-going.
