You have to admit, the Jersey Shore is awful, and awfully awesome to watch!   I even went to the trouble of attending a premier party at my friends house… mostly because I don’t have cable and there was free food and booze!  Check out the Powerpoint of the words  used and their frequency… pretty diverse vocabulary on these kids…maybe we don’t give them enough credit?   If you missed the show you can catch it right here!

Are they even from Montreal??

This is amongst the strangest performances by a band on late night television. Why is everyone face painted. Why is Solange Knowles performing? Why doesn’t anyone ever talk about how hot she is?

According to some crazy twitter study, twitterers of the Pacific Northwest sure get grumpy during work hours. Someone was smart enough to measure the positive and negative tweets throughout the day and plot them accordingly: Red is bad, green is good.

Its crazy how the midwest is never really out of the red.

To think of driving by The Buckaroo and not seeing all the gritty old guys hanging on the patio makes me want to cry.  I love the Buckaroo…it is generally my pre-funk dive bar of choice…click on the pic to get the full story.

Look, you know I’m a music fan.  I flew 1,200 miles on a busted wing just to catch the last half of Bonaroo. I haven’t missed a Tom Petty show since the Damn the Torpedoes tour. Heck, the most exciting day of my life was when Ozzy bit my uncle’s head off at one of the Blizzard of Oz shows.

So when I heard Kings of Leon were playing at the local Verizon Amphitheater, I figured, screw it, what else is a pigeon going to do on a hot Friday night?

I get to the venue, and I see they’re charging $150 a ticket, and I flat out refuse to pay that much. Why? Two reasons. One, that’s before service charges. After the “convenience fee,” the “venue fee” and the “fee fee,” we’re looking at two bills, easy. And second of all, I’m a pigeon, and who in the frig is going to give a pigeon a credit card? Besides Discover….
