Gay dating web-site ManCruch.com (great name by the way), has said that CBS has rejected their Superbowl Ad, saying it “is not within the Network’s Broadcast Standards for Super Bowl Sunday.”

Here is the ad:

CBS released the following statement:

“After reviewing the ad – which is entirely commercial in nature – our Standards and Practices department decided not to accept this particular spot. As always, we are open to working with the client on alternative submissions.”

The Mancrucnch response said:

“We’re 100% serious,” ManCrunch spokesperson Elissa Buchter said. “We have the money to pay for it. If the ad showed a man and woman kissing it would have been accepted. You see ads for erectile dysfunction morning, noon and night. It’s discriminatory that they wont show this….They should call our bluff. If the ad doesn’t air on the Super Bowl, it will air on another network.”

Very valid points.

In the wake of the Tim Tebow anti-abortion ad that WILL run during the Superbowl, this will surely spark a heated debate.

Aside from all the of issues that this brings up, it should be brought up that this is a BRILLIANT move by the people that run that web-site. This is will get them boat loads of exposure on the world’s largest stage. VERY smart from a business standpoint.

Ironically, a week after investigators found the body of Morgan Harrington, the 20-year-old girl who went missing after an October 17th Metallica concert in Charlottesville,  more people are hurt/injured at a concert from the emotionally fragile band.

This weeks incident happened down in Chile where over 100 people were arrested after a couple thousand tried to get into the show without a ticket.  Here is some sweet international news coverage of the incident.  Does she mention The Cranberries?

**BTW...Red just came in and made fun of me for sounding very "Fox News" pointing out that 2 newsworthy violent incidents happened at Metallica Shows in the last couple of months.

She's right, it certainly isn't Metallica's fault that these things are happening.

That being said, this is the perfect time to blame to the people of Chile as a whole for this terrible tragedy.  Shame on them.

That, ladies and gentlemen…is sarcasm
