There’s some show in that England country called Friday Night with Jonathan Ross that features celebs and bands and seems similar to a Late Show or Tonight Show. Muse’s Matt Bellamy competed in a pedal car race with a celeb cast including the dude from Top Gear. Pretty funny how his short legs pedalled the crap out of that cart:
He won!
Here’s their performance from the show that night:

Nine Inch Nails are done (at least until the reunion tour 5 years from now) and Trent Reznor is proving how done they are by having a little NIN garage sale
Right now Reznor is selling a ton of old NIN gear on Ebay including all sorts of guitars and basses. If you are interested in owning the Jackson Flying V that Trent played for 30 seconds on that magical night in Des Moines in 2007 before he gave it to a roadie because it clashed with Twitter’s homepage for $800. It’s yours
Tonight at 7:30p at the Seattle Art Museum writer Richard Price, who wrote some of “The Wire”’s best episodes is going to screen one of the more notable episodes of the show (Season 3’s “All Due Respect”) and discuss afterward.
A clip from the episode:
Also known for his novels (Clockers) and screenwriting (The Color of Money) he will speak about “the autobiographical roots of his fiction, with stops in the Bronx and Lower East Side.”
2009 was the year that Blur got back together and DIDN’T quite make it to the US (however, there are still plenty of rumors that they’ll be at Coachella this year)
As with most reunions, the entire thing was documented.
Check out the trailer:
GIGANTIC side note.
Is it just me, or are movie trailers just getting better and better. Not movies per say, but movie trailers. I kinda like Blur, (and I know that it’s super cool to say that you have loved Blur for years). If they came to town, I would see them, if they put out a new record, I would kinda be interested.
However, this trailer makes me COMPLETELY interested in this movie, and I really have no reason to be at all.
A good trailer can make complete crap look awesome. Entourage fans know it from Medellin, many of us were fooled by the “Where The Wild Things Are” trailer which made that movie (which was…ok) look like the greatest movie ever made etc. The list goes on and on
How do I get that job? It’s basically the modern day magician. Take 2 hours of average, cut it down to 2 minutes of awesome. I would like to do that.

The Strokes have confirmed their first show since October, 2006. They will headline the Isle of Wight festival in the UK on June 12. Jay Z is also a confirmed headliner (June 11th)
Julian Casablancas has confirmed that the band got together earlier this year to work on some songs that they’ll begin recording in January of 2010
He recently told billboard:
“When we meet with the band and talk and play music, it’s just a different level of ease and comfort,” he says. “Everyone’s more easygoing and everyone feels more confident and just trusts each other a little bit. I think we’ve subtly been feeling urgent about (making a new album), but I don’t want to predict anymore, because every time I make predictions I’m wrong. So I would just leave that alone right now.”
No other tour dates have been announced, however more summer festival appearances are expected.

Tonight Seattle’s The Lonely Forest will be playing at the Showbox at the Market! Along with them will be Telekinesis and The Globes. Go see em, this is going to be an awesome local music show! –You won’t be disappointed!
The guys from The Lonely Forest stopped by the station on Sunday night for Megan’s Local’s Only show and I just happened to be there with my camera:
On-Air face taping was followed up by the band running up and down the halls in search of a record to have their picture taken in front of… Radiohead: Kid A.

The Lonely Forest in studio:
Telekinesis – Tokyo:
The Globes:
I <3 The Lonely Forest! (& Telekinesis & The Globes)

Watch this incredible slow motion video of an owl about to f*** up some stupid mouse. Look at those claws – just like a damn velociraptor. I love dinosaurs.
